Assessment

Component 1: Theatre Workshop (20% of qualification, internally assessed, externally moderated) This involves one text interpretation in the style of a practitioner. You can act or design. There are two parts to the assessment; Realisation of performance or design and Creative Log Component 2: Text in Action (40% of qualification, externally assesses by a visiting examiner) This involves one devised piece in the style of a practitioner and one text extract in a different style. You can act or design. There are two parts to the assessment; Realisation of 2 performances live for examiner or 5-10 design presentation and Process & evaluation report Component 3: Text in performance (40 % of qualification, Written examination - 2 hours 30 minutes.) This involves study of three scripts There are three parts to the assessment; • Section A; 2 questions based on set text 1 (post 1956) • Section B; essay based on set text 2 (pre 1956) • Section C; A question based on extract from set text 3
