London Academy of Excellence Stratford is the academic sixth form for independent thinkers.

How the waitlist works:

• Entering the waitlist is not a guarantee of a space on the event. You will be contacted via email or telephone if spaces open up for the slot you have registered for.
• Please note you should only register your interest for the slot that you can attend.
• We will not be accepting visitors on the day who are still on the waitlist. We can only admit entry to those who have a confirmed booking.

Applications to our Sixth Form open on Friday 8th November 2024 and will close on Monday 20th January 2025.

All applications must be fully completed, including references, by this date. Late applications will not be considered,

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a meeting in February to discuss their application further.

Our Open Evening will feature insightful talks from the leaders of our school, sharing the vision and values that drive us to excel. Moreover, you will hear from former students who have successfully transitioned through our Sixth Form and are now making their mark in various fields. A highlight of the evening will be the chance to meet our dedicated teachers. They are not just educators; they are mentors, guiding students towards academic excellence and personal growth. You will have the opportunity to interact with the teachers who could be shaping your educational journey should you decide to join Goresbrook Sixth Form.

We understand that making the right choice about your future education is challenging. That’s why our Open Evening is designed to equip you with all the information you need. We are committed to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment, empowering students to achieve their full potential.

To ensure you have a pleasant experience, light refreshments will be provided throughout the evening. This will also give you a chance to mingle with fellow prospective students, current parents, and our dedicated staff.

Come along to our Sixth Form open evening and have a look round our fantastic facilities including our Sixth Form only building providing 3 study rooms, 2 common rooms, kitchen and other Sixth Form only facilities.

It's a great chance to have a tour round by and chat with our Sixth Form students who will talk to you about Sixth Form life and how they've found being here and the move from Year 11 into Year 12. We have a large number of students who join the Netherthorpe community at the start of Year 12 from a number of different local schools. Some of these students will also be on hand to talk to you about their experiences and how they've found moving here for Sixth Form.

In addition our fantastic and knowledgeable teaching staff will be on hand to answer all your questions and chat to you about their subjects. You'll be able to find out how many different opportunities we have and where these routes can take you.

During the evening there will be 2 talks from both our Headteacher and the Director of Post 16.
