As mentioned in your offer email, we will be hosting our taster day on Thursday 4th July 2024. This will give you an excellent opportunity to experience the day in the life of a Highams Park Sixth Form student, and will provide you with an insight into how lessons will be structured in the different subjects that you are interested in.

Please state that you are coming to the Taster Day through expressing interest in this event by Wednesday 22nd May 2024. All students intending to take a place at Highams Park School next year should be attending. By completing this form it will enable us to effectively plan the day.

This evening event is for parents / guardians of learners in year groups 10, 11 and 12 to join us to find out more about the pathway choices following year 13.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions to ensure that you are fully informed to support you child at these important transition times in their education.

We are excited to invite you to our Year 12 Induction Day on Friday 21st June 2024. 

This day is an important part of our induction process, designed to help you get a feel for our Sixth Form and to develop your understanding of what to expect as a Sixth Form student studying here. 

Throughout the day, you will attend lessons in your chosen subjects and take part in pastoral sessions. There will also be opportunities to ask questions, meet other prospective students, discover our enrichment offer and visit the Sixth Form study spaces.  

Please confirm your attendance by visiting the Applicaa account you used to apply for our Sixth Form and ”Register” for the event in the bottom right corner of the page by Friday 31st May 2024 at the latest. 

Lunch will be provided. 

Please may we also remind you to ‘Accept’ your conditional offer if you have not already done so. This ensures you have the option to join our Sixth Form in September 2024, provided you meet our standard and subject specific entry requirements in your official summer exams. You can still accept offers from other Sixth Forms or colleges before making your final Post-16 destination decision on GCSE results day in August.

Our Open Evening for entry for 2025 is on Thursday 7th November 2024 from 4:30-7pm. There will be two talks from the Assistant Headteacher, for Sixth, Ms Watson and Headteacher, Ms Harbottle at 4:45pm and 6pm. You do not require a ticket to attend. You will be able to go on a self-guided or guided tour when not in these talks.

Please note: the availability of any chosen subject, or subject combination, will depend on student demand, staff availability and on timetabling contingencies.
