I hope that preparations for your forthcoming examinations are going well.

As part of your preparation for coming to St Bede’s Catholic College Sixth Form, I am writing to invite you to our Taster Day on the Thursday 27th June 2024.  Please arrive at 9.00am and go to the Lecture Theatre. For students who are joining us from other institutions, please sign in at reception where directions will be provided.  Please bring writing materials as you will be having taster lessons. 

Please also bring a packed lunch with you.

Sixth Form Transition Session

You are warmly invited to attend one of our Greenshaw Sixth Form transition events. This will give you opportunities to meet with current Year 12 students and members of the Sixth Form Team and find out further information about joining us in September. Please note that this event is for students only.

Sixth Form Admissions

Internal students collect their GCSE results in person and if eligible they proceed to be enrolled.

Welcome to Year 12! 

This day gives you a taste of VI Form and is a really important part of your induction programme. 

You will find out about VI Form, try your chosen subjects, have the opportunity to experience VI Form and resolve any subject clashes or change of subjects that you want to make. 

It takes place on Wednesday 25th June at The VI Form Academy, Cranberry Road, Cornwall TR147PP

Registration takes place from 8.15am

Day Finishes at 1.30pm for VI Form Academy students or 2.45pm for CSMS/CSLA students. 

Please bring a packed lunch and water for the day. 

We are excited to be inviting you to an online taster session on Monday 16th June 4.30pm - 5.30pm for your chosen first choice pathway: Technical. This event is for students but parents are welcome to join.

This session will be led by your pathway teachers and will:

• Give you an in-depth understanding of what you will learn in your pathway and what lessons will look like. 
• Develop an understanding of how you will be assessed.
• Create confidence that you have made the right pathway choice. 
• Ask any questions you might have. 
• Get you excited about joining LSA! 

Sign up is essential for you to receive the Google Meets link. You will be send the Google Meets link the day before your session. 

Remember that engagement is part of your offer! If you are unable to make this date, please be sure to let us know.

After the sessions have taken place, we will send out the recordings of all four pathways to all applicants. This is a great opportunity to make sure you are making the right pathway decision and be informed of all possible options. 

If you would like to change either your first or second choice pathway you must email us by the 31st July 2025. Once you start at LSA, you cannot change pathways.
