To help students make the transition from Year 11 into Year 12, academic staff have created a suite of resources that link to each A level subject. This bridging work can be found on our website in a password protected area linked here and will be available from the afternoon of 21st June onwards using the password ‘l3tusdothis!’. Please note that the link and password will not work until the afternoon of 21st June.

This work has been carefully designed to provide a bridge between GCSE and the start of the A-Level course. It is important that students complete this to the best of their abilities at this stage before joining Year 12 in September as it will support their learning and build their confidence in the first few weeks of the autumn term, and in some cases is a key part of the A-Level syllabus.   

Students will be expected to complete the bridging work independently as this will help them develop further the study skills, resourcefulness and resilience which are key for success in Key Stage 5.

This is fantastic opportunity to ‘taste’ different subjects. We particularly recommend you go to the taster sessions of subjects you are deciding between and/or new subjects you haven't studied before to help you make the right decisions. 

By the end of the day you will know what you can expect from LaSWAP and what will be expected of you. 

We will be holding several taster sessions to give you an idea of the subjects that will be available at the College from September.

There will be no more taster sessions after these dates. However, we will have our open day on the 6th of July for you and any family that would like to attend. 

To ensure a prompt start to our taster sessions, we kindly request you to arrive 15 minutes early. This will allow us to begin the session on time and make the most of our time together. Please plan your travel accordingly.

The dress code will be smart business attire; no trainers will be worn on the day.
