This is fantastic opportunity to ‘taste’ different subjects. We particularly recommend you go to the taster sessions of subjects you are deciding between and/or new subjects you haven't studied before to help you make the right decisions. 

By the end of the day you will know what you can expect from LaSWAP and what will be expected of you. 

Students are invited to attend the virtual transition day on Thursday 27th June, providing teaching staff with an opportunity to meet virtually with students who are hoping to take their subject at A-Level and outline the expectations, as well as deliver the transition materials. 

The timetable for the day is linked here and includes links to the virtual sessions. The day will start at 9am with a welcome from Ms Ganachaud, Director of Sixth Form. The timetable has been put together to allow students to attend one 25-minute TEAMS session for each of their three or four chosen A-Level subjects. There is also a session for those taking and EPQ or Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition.

Students are advised to look at the bridging work on the website before attending the transition day as these sessions will be their opportunity to ask any questions they have before the school closes for the summer holidays. This bridging work can be found on our website in a password protected area linked here and will be available from the afternoon of 21st June onwards using the password ‘l3tusdothis!’. Please note that the link and password will not work until the afternoon of 21st June.

Current BHS students will only to able to join the TEAMS sessions using their BHS school email address. Applicants from other schools will need to use the email address provided on their application. 

Invitation for students with accepted offers!

As part of our induction process, we would like to invite you to our Sixth Form Taster Days on Monday 1st July. This will be an opportunity to get a taste of what studying at Sixth Form is like. You will have lessons in your chosen subjects, as well as attending a range of workshops that will touch on topics such as universities/careers and help set you up for success in our Sixth Form and beyond. You will also be given your summer work for each subject, which is essential preparation for your A-Level courses. 

Please note that this event is restricted to the prospective student and one accompanying parent/guardian.

Arrival time: 5pm for information on our Sixth Form and a presentation in our lecture theatre followed by a self guided tour of the school including the teaching areas for the subjects of interest.
The presentation is for approximately 25 minutes, it is not possible to leave the talk early or be admitted once it begins.

Please note there is no parking available on the school site, the nearest public parking is at Sidcup Leisure Centre and Old Farm Avenue Car Park.

Sixth Form Transition Session - Tuesday 2 July 

You are warmly invited to attend the Greenshaw Sixth Form internal transition day on Tuesday 2 July. This will give you opportunities to meet with current Year 12 students and members of the Sixth Form Team and find out further information about joining us in September. Sixth Form Admissions

All Year 11 students who have accepted offers, both internal and external, are invited to attend a Sixth Form Taster Day at Chiswick School on the 4th July 2024. 

This is a chance for all students to meet in preparation for next year and start their preparations for A-Level study in September. 

The day will require students to wear the Post-16 dress code and will include a welcome assembly, example lessons, and a chance to ask questions about their future studies after the exam season has completed.
