Enrichment Activities

Volunteering at Columbus College
Years 9-13 students will have the opportunity to spend some of their lunchtimes at the Columbus School & College, helping the students in their own school environment. This will provide excellent volunteering experience as well as understanding a different education system to your own. Gain experience doing something new whilst developing numerous skills.
Sports readers
This is an exciting opportunity for the students selected and will give them the opportunity to help pupils access the curriculum and raise their academic achievements. It involves working with a Year 7 or 8 pupil to help develop their reading skills. It will also be something that can form part of their CV and support UCAS applications
HCPT trip to Lourdes
The HCPT organises pilgrimage trips to Lourdes, France for people with disabilities and disadvantaged people. HCPT offers trips during Easter. Year 12 students will have the opportunity to apply to volunteer for this trip.
