Entry Requirements

Students will need to have five GCSE passes at grade 3 or above, preferably including Maths and English. Alternatively, students will be accepted onto the course if they have an equivalent vocational qualification at merit grade, and Functional Skills Maths and English, preferably at Level 1. All students must have achieved, or show the ability to achieve, Maths and English to grade 3 or equivalent. Where a student has not yet fulfilled this requirement, a functional skills qualification is a mandatory part of this course. Excellent attendance is required (100% expected, minimum 90% acceptable) and full commitment. Students must be prepared to study towards Functional Skills/GCSE English and Maths if they have not already achieved these. Students must have full dexterity, good eyesight (with or without contact lens, glasses or other).
