Assessment

The course is assessed through four written exams taken at the end of two years of study. •Unseen translation of verse and prose – 1 hour 45 minutes (33% of total A Level) •Prose composition or comprehension – 1 hour 15 minutes (17% of total A Level) •Prose literature – 2 hours (25% of total A Level) o Herodotus, Histories 1 o Plutarch, Antony •Verse literature – 2 hours (25% of total A Level) o Homer, Iliad 16 o Euripides, Hippolytus
