Course summary
The acquisition of a language is not only an intrinsically rewarding experience, but also makes an excellent combination with other disciplines - particularly sciences, humanities, ICT and business. In order to study a modern foreign language in the Sixth Form, a pupil must have achieved at least grade 7 at GCSE and the recommendation of his or her teacher, who must be convinced that he or she will respond positively to the demands of this challenging course. French and Spanish follow relatively similar course structures. Pupils will explore the following topics: • Social issues in the target country • Political and artistic culture • Grammar • Literary texts • Films
