Course summary

Economics is an exciting yet challenging subject, opening the doors to not only the economy but also the political, business, social and geographical world. It is evident all around us and is constantly evolving. The study of economics will allow students to develop their knowledge and understanding of the global world in both a micro and macro economy. It is a highly regarded subject by both universities and employers; economics graduates are amongst the highest earners entering the world of work. There are many university courses on offer. Economics can be studied with other combinations such as Business, Politics, Business/ Accounting and a language. Careers in management, accounting, business and marketing are some of the possibilities. Economics also leads indirectly to careers in law, journalism, media and in the City.
