Assessment

The A level is delivered through a diverse range of learning experiences including wider world design contexts, focused manufacturing tasks and a rich diet of material and process exploration. 50% of the qualification is assessed through coursework. Individual students select their design brief, working in an area of specific interest and developing links with industry stakeholders and designers. Their coursework project supplements a creative portfolio which can be presented at an interview. Courses considered, include engineering, architecture, interior design & product design.
