Course summary

Bromley High School offers an exciting, progressive and practical course in which students explore the modern and evolving world of technology through research, design, manufacture and testing. Students are challenged to apply iterative design techniques to real-world problems and encouraged at every stage of the curriculum to be creative, innovative, enterprising and resourceful. The facilities at Bromley High School offer opportunities to integrate CNC laser cutting, 3D printing, Adobe Creative Cloud and 3D CAD modelling within coursework portfolios. The course provides students with the chance to develop expertise in design and user needs; apply critical analysis tools; learn to take creative risks; consider the wider aspects of design within society; and use cutting-edge technology to prototype and explore their ideas. Industry-standard approaches will be delivered at every stage of this journey.
