6th Form Induction Day at Leigh Academy Bexley, 12 July 

It is with great pleasure that I write to you today to invite you to the induction and taster day for Woburn College,  the Sixth Form at Leigh Academy Bexley. 

Leigh Academy Bexley is committed to providing an exceptional education and fostering a supportive learning environment. Our sixth form offers a diverse range of academic and vocational courses, allowing students to tailor their studies to their individual interests and aspirations. The induction day and programme it follows, will give you an opportunity to meet your peers and have a lesson in the subjects you wish to study at Sixth Form. 

You will be expected to arrive at school at 8.45am on Friday 12th July and register at the student reception and enter the Main Hall where breakfast will be provided. Your opening assembly will be in the main hall at 9.10am before you will be picked up and escorted by your teacher for that lesson. The rest of the day will include an opportunity to sample each of the subjects you have chosen and take part in some ice breaker activities. 

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including lunch from the restaurant. After your final lesson you will return to the Main Hall for a closing assembly and the day will finish at 2.50pm.

On the day, you will be expected to arrive smartly dressed. Tracksuits, jeans, shorts, T-shirts and vest tops are not permitted.

Dear Student,

Thank you for applying to Olchfa Sixth Form. We are looking forward to welcoming you in September.

Now that your GCSE exams have finished, we can start to think about next year. With this in mind, I would like to invite you to a Taster Day to help you get a better understanding of life as an Olchfa Sixth Form student.

The day will provide you with the opportunity to experience some of the subjects you have chosen for AS Level along with the pastoral support available. There will be opportunities for you to meet with a range of staff and ask questions you may have about Sixth Form. 

I have attached a plan for the day which we will go through when you attend on Wednesday 9 July.

For those who have not had an opportunity for a 1 to 1 chat with a member of the Sixth Form Team, you will see that there is time in the afternoon to be able to facilitate this.

Dear Student, 

We are very excited to be able to share that we are now open for Taster Day Bookings. Taster Day provides students with a fantastic opportunity to not only try the subjects they wish to study at A Level but also meet Sixth Form staff, teachers and other potential students. 

The Sixth Form Taster Day will take place on Tuesday 25th June 2024. This will be the only day available, therefore, it is vital that you book your place. If you do not book your place then you will not be able to attend. As places are limited, please can you book only on place.

Northampton Academy

We are hosting an online information session for parents and carers whose young person has SEND or additional needs to learn more about support here at LSA. 

There will be an opportunity to ask our SEND and Industry teams any questions you might have about LSA and working in the industry after LSA. 

The session is on Wednesday 13th November at 5.30pm and will last an hour. If you are unable to attend, please let us know so we can send you a recording of the session. 

A Zoom link will be emailed the day before the event.
